Hey everyone! Just wanted to post an update and apologize for my lack of activity here lately. Its been a trying month for me as my grandfathers health began failing and he ended up passing away a few weeks later. Between being back home with the family and the funeral I haven't been at my main headquarters much. Hopefully I will be able to get some art done in the near future so there's some stuff for you to see, thanks for being patient!

Hey all! 
Been a while since i posted a journal, so how is everyone and what is new and exciting in your lives?

As for me, lots has been happening here. I went to college over the summer and got my Photography Certificate of Achievement!
After paying off some of my student loans I plan to go get a scuba diving certification then I will be all set for my future career as an underwater cinematographer! 
In other news, I got my windows 10 upgrade and man is it awesome! I'm really loving the new look and the features so far, only problem is that Wacom doesn't have the proper compatibility features for it yet so I can no longer produce digital art until such time as one is released! To those of you who had commissions from me I deeply apologize and I can try to refund you if need be. For the time being expect to see some photography and traditional art from me, as i still want to make things for you to see c:

In super exciting news (for me anyway) when i finished my certificate my parents promised to take me out to celebrate, and they are doing so by taking me to the Lion King broadway show!

Hey all, to those of you that know of my baby beardie Charlie,    
it has come to the attention of myself and the vet that he may have a cancerous tumor growing in his mouth and it will be a $2000 surgery to get it out. I am going to open up some commissions to help me with the massive bill that will be hitting me in 2 weeks. 

I will be offering linearts, basic colour pictures and chibis all at fair prices!

I have seen a few of these really inspiring stories on here today so i thought I would come and share mine a bit.. not going to be terribly long I'm afraid.. but hopefully it will be worth the read for you c:



I joined Devart in about the 9th grade. At the time i was browsing google for images of dragons and found quite a few, and my best friend had an account so I thought I would join the fad. i signed up for DA and then didnt check it for maybe 2 years.. Over the years I have developed my first Original Character which was of course, my lovely Drachorn  whose birthdate was in 2001. I got into Halo right after and fell in love with elites so i made my first elite OC which is of course my loverly Ssca.  Shortly after several others followed.  When I came back to DA I was still very much into Elites and after seeing so much dragon art everywhere I started to get back into dragons again (I hadnt tried to draw one since 6th grade!). I decided to have a look around at some other dragon art and I stumbled upon shinerai.deviantart.com/art/Go… and I instantly fell in love with the style and wanted to start improving on my own dragon art. i have always loved dragons and have been drawing them and other animals since before i can remember (With a lot of help from my two friends; Alex and Carlianne x3 ) After viewing 'Golden Empress' My own dragon, Aura, was born.   (The big thing from all of my inspiration pics were dragons standing on their tails and touching their chests with wings close to the camera.)
I started drawing dragons on my friends arms with Sharpies at school.. Then 10th grade rolled around and it was a tough year in school for me with a lot of unnecessary drama, so I retreated more and more into the Devart world and used it as a sanctuary (That and of course my favorite game: halo) The internet quickly became my safe place. I continued to browse through Shin, Nyliir and Altivs wonderfully inspiring art and developed my own understanding of basic anatomy through studying their pictures.


Throughout the years I have met some very wonderful people, including my boyfriend Canvasian and even though I'm not so good at communicating now-a-days I always loved talking to the awesome people I have encountered and have met some of my closest friends on here!

My first DA idols were Shinerai, Altiv, Heilos, nybird, HaanPere and so many others that are too great in number to list. Through them I was introduced into the digital art world and even got my first tablet so i could try it out for myself. OpenCanvas was the big thing at the time... 

Lastly, I want to thank all my supporters and friends for sticking by me through my highly erratic art style changes and to those who have spent money buying art from me, it helps me get by when I need it, and gives me a major confidence boost c:

The first Deviation I can remember posting was   back in the most addicted part of my halo phase. Lots of my early deviation where all drawn with a mouse and I loved to do it!

My favorite thing about DA is the community and all the friends I have made, all of you are awesome and I love each and every one of you <3
